Tackling Poverty Through LendWithCare
Lendwithcare is a powerful and innovative initiative that enables individuals to make a real difference in the lives of people in low-income countries. By providing small loans – starting from as little as £15 – Lendwithcare helps entrepreneurs build or grow their own businesses, offering them a sustainable path out of poverty while preserving their dignity and independence.
This impactful program is run by CARE International UK, a well-established charity dedicated to fighting global poverty. Lendwithcare currently operates in eleven countries, connecting lenders with hardworking individuals who need a boost to get their businesses off the ground or take them to the next level.
One of the standout features of Lendwithcare is that 100% of the loaned money goes directly to the entrepreneurs selected by the lenders. When loans are repaid, lenders have the option to reinvest in new entrepreneurs, donate to the cause, or withdraw their funds.
For those who wish to go further, there’s also the opportunity to become a “Lendwithcare Angel” by making a regular monthly donation. This additional support helps the initiative grow and reach more communities around the world.

Supporting The Rock Foundation
We’re proud to support The Rock Foundation, a charitable organisation based in North East Lincolnshire that has been making a meaningful impact since its founding in 2008. The Foundation is dedicated to helping young people and adults with learning disabilities, as well as individuals facing disadvantage, by providing life-enhancing opportunities that promote independence, confidence, and employability.
Through its Grimsby and Caistor day centres, The Rock Foundation offers a range of practical workshops, supported work placements, and social enterprise initiatives. These services are designed to equip service users with essential life and job skills, while also fostering self-esteem and improving quality of life. Their Caistor location also includes supported living accommodation, providing a safe and empowering environment for up to 12 residents.
The Foundation supports more than 90 individuals through its day service provision and operates several retail and training outlets that offer both volunteering opportunities and sustainable revenue streams for the charity’s work.
Another key initiative is the Rock Food Bank, originally established by the Foundation in 2014 in response to rising food insecurity in the local community. What began as a modest service has since grown significantly, now operated by the independent charity Rock Community Hub since June 2023. Based on Garibaldi Street in Grimsby’s East Marsh, the Hub not only continues the food bank operations three days a week but also provides additional support services to address the root causes of food poverty.
We’re inspired by the important work The Rock Foundation does and proud to help raise awareness of its mission.

Support For Vulnerable Individuals Through FASD Network UK
FASD Network UK is a dedicated charity providing crucial information, support, and training around Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Established in 2011 in the Durham Tees Valley region – which includes areas such as Durham, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington and Redcar & Cleveland – the organisation has since expanded its reach both northwards into Northumbria, Tyneside, and Wearside, and southwards into Yorkshire, Hull and the East Riding.
While FASD Network UK advocates for change on a national level, the charity maintains a strong focus on the Northern regions of England. Their core belief is that services are most effective when delivered by local people and organisations who understand the unique needs of their communities.
To help break the isolation often felt by families affected by FASD, the charity facilitates termly support groups across the North East and Yorkshire. They also manage a closed Facebook group – FASD UK – providing daily peer-to-peer support, practical advice, and a sense of community for those raising children with FASD.
